Draw a picture next to each line.

Memorize it.

Read the story Qué hay en España. It's the first story in the photocopied packet you placed in your folder. Copy it down in your cuaderno. Make a picture for each of the sentences. 

Copy these sentences and make a picture for each:

El caracol nada en la fuente.

El guardia salta en la construcción

La morsa duerme en la lluvia

El caracol y la morsa escapan del zoologico.

El guardia nada en la piscina

Write 3 new sentences using the vocab you know and make a drawing for each sentence

Me gusta- I like (yo)
Te gusta - You like (tú)
Le gusta- He/she likes (él, ella)


You can also express different degrees of liking:
Me encanta- I love
Me gusta-  I like
Me gusta un poco- I like a little
No me gusta- I don't like
No me gusta nada- I don't like at all

However, if what follows the verb is plural, we say Me gustan, Te gustan, Le gustan and so on.
For example
Me gusta la piña - I like pineapple
Me gustan las fresas- I like strawberries

Te gusta el queso? Do you like cheese?
Te gustan las uvas? Do you like grapes?

When you are telling what people like to do, the verb Gustar is followed by the infinitive just as it is in english when you say "I like to sing".
Examples:
Me gusta cantar - I like to sing
Te gusta bailar? Do you like to sing?
Le gusta dormir He/she likes to sleep

Try translating these:

4. I don’t like to wash my clothes

5. I don’t like cheese at all

6. He loves to fish in the ocean

7. Do you like strawberry ice-cream?

8. My dad loves red wine with dinner

9. Do you like to drink milk in the morning

10. I like to chat with my friends after school.

Choose between GUSTA and GUSTAN

1. Te __________________ dormir afuera?
2. Nos _________________ los amigos generosos
3. Me _________________ el vino blanco
4. A mis padres les _______________ la sandía fría
