PROJECT #1. UNA ESCENA.

 Project 1. Una escena 

OVERVIEW

Create a scene on a poster board, or a 3D model.  You can choose La playa, La plaza, La calle, El desierto, la casa, el teatro, el zoológico, la tienda, el restaurante, la ciudad, etc. Your scene must include 6 different people doing different activities.  You will bring the poster/model to class and be prepared to describe it in Spanish and answer questions from your teacher about your scene. You will not be reading at all. Do not use vocabulary we have not learned in class so everyone can understand what you are saying.

REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR ORAL PRESENTATION:

1. Tell us where your scene is and tell us 3 things there are in your scene. “ En la playa hay __________.” or  En el restaurante hay___________________. Your objects should be added to the 3D model or picture. 

2. Describe the weather in your scene. Use two sentences

3. Introduce each of the characters:

• Say their name… Se llama ___________________. Names should be in Spanish. You can include animals as characters. Make sure you tell us what animal it is.
• One of the characters will be YOU. So, make sure you end your verbs in the letter O.

•  Say what they are wearing including color. Lleva ___________________. You should mention dress, skirt, shirt, pants, shoes, jacket, hat, socks, scarf, gloves. If it’s too hot for some of these items, say your character is not wearing the item. For example: No lleva chaqueta.

• Say what they are doing. There should be a total of 12 different actions in your story.  Each character does more than one action. Use various actions learned in class: there should be actions from La Playa, Tres Amigos, la familia Hernández, La morsa, Nieva! Make sure you use different actions for the characters. Do not repeat actions. It is fun if your actions are related, in other words, if there is a little story going on in your scene…

Example: Se llama Fernando. Lleva pantalones cortos rojos y camiseta azul. Abre la puerta y escapa.

2. Make sure your scene is neatly done, the character’s actions are clearly shown.

What do I do?

Complete the sentences talking about yourself. Write 3 options for each sentence. Do not repeat verbs. Remember end the verb in O when writing about yourself

SINGULARS AND PLURALS

How do we make plural nouns in Spanish? A very simple recipe.

Just add the letter S to the noun if it ends in a vowel. 

El carro- Los carros
La maceta- Las macetas

Add ES if it ends in a consonant. For example:

El balón- Los balones
La ciudad- Las ciudades.

If the noun ends in Z, change the Z into C, and then add ES:

el lápiz- Los lápices
El antifaz- Los antifaces

Qué hacen? Qué ropa llevan? Quiénes son?

You are going to color, label and draw on this picture. Follow the instructions below. You don't have t write the whole sentence this time. The only writing you have to write in is label the name of the character next to it if I tell you what he or she is called. Otherwise you are coloring and drawing only what is in the instructions.  I have sent you an email if you want to do the work on Notability. If you want t do it by hand, make a print of it. Watch out: if the character I describe is not in the picture, you will have to draw it in.

9. Un señor va al museo.  Lleva gorro rojo.

10.  Un pajarito come en el piso. Otro (another) pajarito vuela. 

11. Las plantas son verdes con frutas naranja.

12. Hay un caracol en las plantas. El caracol seca sus cuernos al sol

13. El perro mira un gato naranja.

14. Un señor lee el periódico. El periódico se llama La Nación

15. Un señor ríe. El señor lleva camisa verde
